UN/WHO has been regular advising all staff to work hard to prevent and stay safe with social distancing, masks, hand wash and to strictly follow up WHO / Govt guidelines.
To remind you, the UNCT /SMT in India decided to appoint a full-time medical advisor for the UN Personnel based in Delhi and state offices. The UN Doctor, Dr. Chawla will responsible for advising staff on COVID-19 remotely on necessary medical procedures to be followed in case a staff falls sick/suspected to be infected/ tested positive/home quarantined. The services of the doctor are primarily for advice, guidance and troubleshooting related to COVID-19. Facilitate admissions to hospitals in Delhi and field offices, where individual insurance schemes a/o payment guarantees may not be accepted.
